1. Image Source
- TypeReader Server can capture images from scan workstation, network scanner and multi-function machines, Watch Folder etc; we also help you to capture images from other sources, such as Email, Fax, FTP etc.
- The Watch Folder function is convenient and agile. Once a new file enters the Watch Folder, TypeReader Server will start processing tasks right away.

2. Image Processing
- TypeReader Server reads Black/White, True-color (24-bit) and 256-level grayscale images in TIFF, JPEG, Bitmap, PCX, PDF images.
- When reading images, TypeReader Server can be configured to:

- Auto straighten images skewed in less than 15 degree
- Auto orientate images scanned in the wrong direction
- Auto split images scanned from two pages of a book or magazine
- Auto clean images by removing noises or useless lines.

3. Recognition
- TypeReader Server can recognize 10 main languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish.
- TypeReader Server can recognize more than 2600 fonts.
- For normal books, magazines and office paper etc, TypeReader Server can recognize in extremely high OCR accuracy of over 99.9%.

TypeReader Server can export OCR results in below document formats:

5. Administration Features
- Detailed log file record for all program operations

- Service program will automatically restart and continue to run if the program is un-consciously closed
- Scanner Support: TypeReader Server works with ISIS-compatible and all TWAIN compatible scanners.

6. System Requirements
TypeReader Server requires Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista or later OS. Only 30MB of space should be available for the installation program.
